Gentle, resilient, and ready for the love he’s always deserved 💛

Porkchop’s story began with heartbreak, but despite everything he’s been through, he remains one of the sweetest, kindest dogs you could ever meet.

Last summer, Porkchop showed up as a stray with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his snout. A compassionate family took him in, kept him safe while he healed, and searched everywhere for an owner—but no one ever came for him.

Since then, Porkchop has slowly learned what it means to feel safe, cared for, and loved. Now, after all this sweet boy has overcome, he’s ready to find a forever family of his very own.

• Estimated 5 years old
• Approximately 50 lbs
• House trained
• Crate trained
• Up to date on vaccines
• Dog friendly
• Gentle with people of all ages
• Cat curious, but does not harm cats
• Great during baths, nail trims, and car rides
• Healthy according to the vet (could stand to gain a little weight)
• Not neutered yet

Porkchop is described as incredibly affectionate, easygoing, and docile. He loves attention, enjoys being near his people, and has such a calm, comforting presence. He’s the kind of dog who settles naturally into home life and quickly becomes part of the family.

He also has a fun, playful side and absolutely LOVES to run. Because of this, Porkchop would thrive with:

✔️ An active adopter who enjoys long walks, hiking, or jogging

Like many adventurous dogs, Porkchop should remain leashed outside of secure areas because he definitely has a runner spirit. 🐾

What’s most remarkable about Porkchop is that despite the cruelty he experienced early on, he still chooses trust, gentleness, and love. He deserves a home where he can finally relax, stretch out in the sunshine, and know he’s safe forever.
