Bruno thought he had found his forever family.

When he was just 8 weeks old, Helmstead Holler Haven Animal Rescue rescued Bruno and his seven siblings. Like so many puppies, he dreamed of finding a family to grow up with.

Just two weeks later, at only 10 weeks old, that dream came true.

Or so he thought.

Nearly a year later, Bruno was returned to us because he “grew too big.”

The heartbreaking part?

That’s exactly what puppies do.

They grow.

And now this sweet boy is trying to understand why the only family he’s has ever known isn’t his family anymore. 💔

He’s asking for commitment.

He’s asking for someone who understands that puppies grow into adult dogs—and that loving them means loving every stage of their life.

The family who adopts Bruno won’t just be giving him another chance.

They’ll be giving him the forever home he thought he already had.

We promised Bruno we’d find him a family that would never give up on him.
